Relume Export vs. Relume Publish: What's the Difference?

The page is a planning outline for a comparison document between Relume 1.0 and Relume Publish, detailing the purpose, target audience, key questions, and a draft structure that includes sections on titles, objectives, overviews, product overviews, user personas, feature comparison table, FAQs, related articles, and a list of items that still need information to complete the draft.

By the end of this doc, you'll be able to:

  1. Understand the difference between Relume Export and Relume Publish
  2. Identify which product fits your workflow
  3. Understand what each product covers, from design through to hosting
  4. Know where to go next to start using either product

Relume is an AI-powered platform for building websites, from initial strategy and content through to a finished, live site. Depending on your workflow, that can mean generating a sitemap and wireframes to hand off to your own design and development process, or taking a project all the way from brief to published site without leaving Relume.

This doc walks through the two ways to do that: Relume Export and Relume Publish.

Both Products, at a Glance

  • Export — generate your sitemaps, wireframes, and copy, then export them into Figma, Webflow, or React to finish building
  • Publish — generate sitemaps, wireframes, copy and full visual design, then publish and host the finished site, all inside Relume

Which One Is For You?

Export and Publish are built for different workflows. Which one you use depends on the way you work.

Export is a good fit if you:

  • Already work in Webflow, Figma, or React and want to speed up the planning and wireframing stage.
  • Want full control over final visual design and development in a tool you already know.
  • Plan to build custom functionality that goes beyond what a hosted site builder supports.

Publish is a good fit if you:

  • Want to go from idea to live website without leaving Relume.
  • Don't need, or want, a separate hosting or development step.
  • Want ongoing AI help (strategy, copy, design, and analysis) keeping the site current after launch, with every change reviewed before it goes live.

Export and Publish are separate products with separate subscriptions. Paying for one doesn't include access to the other.

Workflow in Each Product

Export

  1. Generate your sitemap and wireframes by describing your company in your prompt.
  2. Customise the wireframe — open the Edit panel to swap section variants, replace components, and reorder or delete sections, then apply a Style Guide in Design View to style your whole site at once.
  3. Export to Figma, Webflow, or React, and finish building out your site before publishing.

Publish

  1. Create a brief by uploading files, PDFs, brand guidelines, a call recording, or a URL. Relume pulls it into a structured brief covering your project's overview, goals, audience, and requirements.
  2. Use the Sitemap, Wireframe, and Design tabs to review and refine what Relume generates.
  3. Click Publish to take your site live on a Relume-hosted URL.
