Connect a Domain to Your Site

By the end of this doc, you'll be able to:

1. Understand the difference between your default Relume URL and a connected custom domain
2. Find the Domains settings for your site
3. Start connecting your own domain to your Relume site
4. Disable a connected domain when you no longer need it

Before You Begin

Before getting started, make sure you have:

• The domain name you want to connect or purchase.
• Owner or Admin access to the project if you’re connecting a custom domain. Otherwise, Editor access is enough.

Your default URL

Every Relume site gets a free URL as soon as you create it. Connecting your own domain replaces that URL with your own address, like yourbrand.comso visitors see your brand, not Relume's, when they land on your site.

Site vs. Domain: Who's Responsible

• Relume — hosts your site and shows your domain's status in Site Settings > Domains.
• IONOS — the registrar for any domain bought through Relume, and owns billing, renewals, cancellations, and transfers for that domain.

📝 Relume never registers or bills for domains ourselves.

How to Connect a Domain

1. Open your site in Relume and go to Site Settings.
2. Click Domains in the left sidebar.
3. In the Connected domains section, click + Connect domain.
4. In the Add a domain to Relume window, choose Buy a new domain or Connect a domain.

Buying a new domain

1. Search for the domain name you want.
2. Review the available options and pricing, then click Make it yours next to the domain you want.

Connecting a domain you already own

1. Enter your domain (for example, yourdomain.com) in the field provided.
2. Click Continue and follow the on-screen prompts to finish linking your domain to your site.
3. Select your domain provider from the list, or search for it, to continue with DNS setup.

Once connected, your domain appears in the Connected domains list with a Connected status, alongside your default .relume.live URL.

💡 Your .relume.live URL stays available even after you connect a custom domain, so you always have a working fallback link.

How to Disable a Connected Domain

1. Go to Site Settings > Domains.
2. Find the domain you want to remove in the Connected domains list.
3. Click the •• menu next to the domain.
4. Click Disable domain.
