By the end of this doc, you'll be able to:
- Understand what Tracking & Scripts controls on your published site
- Add your Google Analytics ID to track site visitors
- Add your Facebook Pixel ID to track ad performance
- Add custom code to your site's
<head>or<body> - Know what to avoid when pasting custom code
Before You Begin
Before getting started, make sure you have:
What is Tracking & Scripts
Tracking & Scripts lets you connect analytics tools and add custom code to your published site — all from Site Settings, with no code required for the analytics part.
Most marketing sites need to track visitors and integrate with tools beyond what Relume builds in natively. Tracking & Scripts covers both: add your Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel IDs to start collecting visitor data, or paste in code from other tools directly into your site's <head> or <body>.
How to Add Your Tracking IDs
Add your Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel IDs to start sending visitor data to those tools once your site is published.
- Go to Site Settings, then open the Custom Code tab.
- Under Tracking, enter your GA4 measurement ID in the Google Analytics ID field.
- Enter your pixel ID in the Facebook Pixel ID field.
- Click Save.

💡 You don't need to fill in both fields. If you only use one of these tools, leave the other blank.
How to Add Custom Code
Custom code lets you paste in scripts from other tools, like a chat widget, a verification tag, or a tool that isn't natively supported, directly into your site.
- Go to Site Settings > Tracking & Scripts, and scroll to Custom code.
- Paste your code into the matching field: Start of
<head>, End of<head>, Start of<body>, or End of<body>. - Click Save.

⚠️ Only paste code if a tool has explicitly given it to you. Don't include the<head>or<body>tags themselves — Relume adds those automatically, so including them again will break your site.
Tips & Best Practices
💡 Not sure whether a script belongs in<head>or<body>? Check the instructions from the tool you're adding — most tools tell you exactly where their code should go.
💡 After publishing, confirm tracking is working using each tool's own testing feature — like Google Analytics' Realtime report or the Meta Pixel Helper browser extension.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I find my Google Analytics ID?
In Google Analytics, go to Admin > Data Streams, select your stream, and copy the Measurement ID — it starts with G-.
Where do I find my Facebook Pixel ID?
In Meta Events Manager, go to Data Sources, select your pixel, and copy the Pixel ID — a string of numbers.
Why isn't my tracking data showing up?
Check that your ID is copied correctly and that you've republished your site since adding it. If you're on a plan that requires the Upgrade badge to be cleared, confirm you've upgraded first.
Can I add other tracking tools, like Hotjar or LinkedIn Insight Tag?
There's no dedicated field for other tools, but you can paste their tracking snippet into the Custom code fields instead.

⚠️ Assumptions & Inferences — Please Review
Remove this section before publishing.
- Audience: Assumed users with basic familiarity with Google Analytics/Facebook Ads, but new to adding tracking IDs in Relume specifically.
- Navigation path: Confirmed via your screenshot sidebar (Site Settings > Tracking & Scripts).
- Save button scope: Confirmed via your screenshot — each card (Tracking, Custom code) has one Save button covering all its fields, not one per field.
- Plan/permission gating: Editor+ access is confirmed by internal specs. The exact paid plan tier that unlocks Tracking & Scripts is not confirmed — the only pricing doc I could find had inconsistent figures and looked like test content, not real data. Please fill in the correct plan name before publishing.
- Head vs. body guidance: The tip about checking a tool's own instructions for placement is general web knowledge, not something confirmed in Relume's specs.
- "Next publish" timing: I did not state whether changes here take effect immediately or on next publish (like Discoverability) — please confirm and I'll add a note if it's the latter.
- FAQ "where to find your ID" steps: Based on Google Analytics' and Meta's current general UI, not confirmed against Relume's specific setup instructions — worth a quick check since third-party UIs change.
- Screenshots: Placeholders only — swap in the real screenshots you shared.
